PRODUCT: Bamboo Torches - Oriental Trading Company of Omaha, NE is voluntarily recalling approximately 1,180 Coconut Bamboo Torches sold through its mail order catalog. The Coconut Bamboo Torch was item No. 34/483. The 54" outdoor luau torch, consists of a hollowed-out coconut shell atop a bamboo pole. The lamps were shipped in cardboard boxes on which the code, type of lamp, and "Made in Philippines" is written. The torches were sold nationwide from May 2001 through July 2001 for about $9.00.
PROBLEM: When the torch container is filled with oil, the oil may spill and burn a consumer if the torch is used improperly, moved or jostled during use.
INCIDENTS/INJURIES: No injuries have been reported.
