The following product safety recall was voluntarily conducted by the firm in cooperation with the CPSC. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.

Name of Product: Playground Swing Sets

Units: About 17,300

Manufacturer: Playworld Systems Inc., of Lewisburg, Pa.

Hazard: The clevis bearing on the swing set can wear, causing the swing to detach and the user to fall.

Incidents/Injuries: No incidents or injuries have been reported.

Description: Swing sets involved in this recall have the following part numbers:

Sold by: Authorized dealers sold the swing sets to day care centers and children's learning centers nationwide from January 2007 through February 2008 for about between $770 and $3,100.

Manufactured in: United States

Remedy: Consumers should immediately remove the swing from the swing set until a free repair kit is installed. The company has sent direct mail notices to consumers.
