WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.

Name of Product: Red Sunglasses/Toddler Cap Set

Units: About 12,900

Importer: Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, LLC of Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

Hazard: The paint on the red sunglasses contains high levels of lead. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects.

Incidents/Injuries: There have been no injuries or incidents reported.

Description: The recalled sunglasses are a solid red color and have dark plastic lenses. They were sold with either a navy blue toddler cap featuring the character Mickey Mouse or a light blue toddler cap featuring the character Stitch. Both toddler caps have red bills. The recalled sunglasses are attached to the bills of the caps by a red strap with a hook and loop fastener. "Walt Disney World®" or "Disneyland® Resort" is stitched on the back of the toddler caps. Other styles and colors of hats and sunglasses are not included in this recall.

Sold at: The Disneyland Resort in California, The Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, Disney's Vero Beach Resort in Florida, and the Disney Cruise Line based in Florida, from November 2004 through June 2005 for about $16.

Manufactured in: Taiwan

Remedy: Consumers should immediately take the recalled red sunglasses away from children and contact Walt Disney World Co. for a free replacement pair of sunglasses and 20 Disney Dollars®.
