WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is warning consumers to immediately stop using JOKOSIS Bed Rails because they violate the mandatory standard for adult portable bed rails, posing a deadly risk of entrapment and asphyxiation. When the bed rails are attached to a bed, users can become entrapped within the bed rail, or between the bed rail and the side of the mattress.
CPSC issued a Notice of Violation to the retailer, Guangshui Xie Lan Zheng Trading Co., Ltd., of China, doing business as, JOKOSIS. The firm [SS1] [PV2] has been uncooperative in the implementation of the recall announced on December 18, 2025, failing to provide the agreed upon remedy to consumers.
About 12,799 bed rails were sold on Amazon.com from August 2023 through November 2025 for about $50. The bed rails may have also been sold on other websites.
The bed rails come in black, include a zippered pouch, are 40.6 inches tall by 31.5 inches wide, and weigh 7.7 pounds. There are no markings or labels on the product. Model “HC0262” is printed on the product packaging.
These products were manufactured in China.
