Product Safety Warning Details
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is warning consumers to immediately stop using Crayan mattresses. The mattresses violate the requirements of the mandatory standard for flammability of mattresses, posing a deadly fire hazard. The mattresses also do not have required labeling.
The retailer, Foshanshi Liyue Jiaju Youxian Gongsi, doing business as Crayan Inc., of China has been uncooperative in the implementation of the recall announced on June 18, 2025, failing to provide the agreed upon remedy to consumers.
About 100,000 mattresses were sold online on Amazon from July 2022 through June 2024 for between $100 and $220.
The mattresses were sold in 10-inch and 12-inch thicknesses and in twin, full, queen and king sizes. The single-sided mattresses have a white knit quilted top with the brand name“Crayan” printed on the gray side panel. They were sold compressed in a box. The fiber content, size and “This Mattress is intended to be used without a foundation or with foundation(s) WG/P Foundation” are printed on a white label sewn onto the mattresses cover.
These products were manufactured in Japan.
CPSC urges consumers to stop using the mattresses immediately and dispose of them. Do not sell or give away these hazardous mattresses.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is charged with protecting the public from unreasonable risk of injury associated with the use of thousands of types of consumer products. Deaths, injuries, and property damage from consumer product-related incidents cost the nation more than $1 trillion annually. Since the CPSC was established more than 50 years ago, it has worked to ensure the safety of consumer products, which has contributed to a decline in injuries associated with these products.
Federal law prohibits any person from selling products subject to a Commission ordered recall or a voluntary recall undertaken in consultation with the CPSC.
