WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announces the following recall in voluntary cooperation with the firm below. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.

Name of product: Baby Walker

Units: About 12,000

Importer/Wholesaler: Big Save International Corp., of Los Angeles, Calif.

Hazard: The walkers fit through a standard doorway and are not designed to stop at the edge of a step. Additionally, these walkers can tip-over. Babies using these walkers can be seriously injured or killed.

Incidents/Injuries: None.

Description: Only Big Save baby walkers with model numbers 9026, 9028, 9090, 90110 and 90111 are included in this recall. The model number is printed as the final digits on a bar code number and may appear on the front or back of the walker. Each walker has six caster wheels and comes in various colors light green, pink and blue.

Sold at: Toy and juvenile product stores nationwide for between $15 and $25. Model 9026 walkers were sold from June 1998 through December 2002 and all other models were sold from December 2003 through December 2004.

Manufactured in: Taiwan

Remedy: Stop using the recalled walkers immediately and return the walkers to the retailer where purchased to receive a refund.
