In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), SCUBAPRO of El Cajon, CA is voluntarily recalling 3,300 Converters for Air 2 Alternate Inflation Regulator. An insufficient bond may cause a break in the converter coupling which could impact the diver's ability to control buoyancy.

Description: This alert is only for consumers who dive with an Air 2 Alternate Inflation Regulator on a NON-SCUBAPRO buoyancy compensator. Divers who use the Air 2 on a SCUBAPRO buoyancy compensator are not affected by this alert.
Sold by: Authorized SCUBAPRO dealers nationwide from October 8, 2003 through August 30, 2004 for approximately $7.75 or included in the Air 2 package beginning December 19, 2003 through August 30, 2004.

Remedy: Consumers who dive with an Air 2 Alternate Inflation Regulator on a NON-SCUBAPRO buoyancy compensator should immediately stop use and contact SCUBAPRO. They will be instructed to take their buoyancy compensator with the Air 2 intact to their authorized SCUBAPRO dealers for a free replacement.
