The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is warning consumers to stop using Ivyapingdianpu’s squishy bun toys immediately. The toy violates the mandatory safety standard for toys containing water beads, posing deadly ingestion, choking, and obstruction hazards.
CPSC urges consumers to stop using the squishy bun toys immediately and dispose of them. Do not sell or give away these hazardous toys.
CPSC issued a Notice of Violation to the retailer, Nananshixianzhoumaoyiyouxiangongsi, doing business as Ivyapingdianpu, of China. Ivyapingdianpu has not agreed to recall these toys or offer a remedy to consumers.
The toys are dumpling-shaped squishy balls with glitter-like particles and water beads on the inside and a cartoon face on the outside. The squishy buns come in a tan plastic container shaped like a bamboo steamer. “SQUISHY BUN” and “Rainbow MYSTERY” are printed on the front of a removable tag. There are no markings on the product.
