The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is warning consumers to stop using multiple hair dryer brushes immediately because they lack an integrated immersion protection device that can result in risk of serious injury or death from electrocution and shock. The hair dryer brushes violate the federal regulations for hair dryers and present a substantial product hazard.
CPSC urges consumers to stop using the hair dryers immediately, destroy the hair dryers by unplugging the extension cord and cutting it, and disposing of them. Do not sell or give away these hazardous products.
The seller DEISNGB, of China, and has been unresponsive to CPSC requests for a recall or information about this product.
In addition, CPSC notified TikTok Shop, of Los Angeles, California, that the hair dryer brushes do not meet U.S. safety requirements. TikTok Shop has not agreed to recall these products or offer a remedy to consumers.
The products were manufactured in China.
This warning involves multiple hair dryer brushes. The hot air brushes are black and pink with black brush bristles and have three speed and three temperature settings. “One Step,” “Hot Air Brush” and model number HG-S-01” or “UPC number 6931215105713” are printed on the product packaging.
The hair dryers were sold on Walmart.com as “DEISNGB Professional Hair Dryer Brush, Hot Air Brush, One Step Hair Dryer & Hot Air Styler for Hair Salon, Blowing Straightening, Curling.”
The hair dryers were also sold on Shop.Tiktok.com as “One Step Hair Dryer Brush with Negative Ion Generator Hot Cold Settings Ergonomic Handle Flexible Bristles for Salon-Quality Styling.”
The hair dryers were sold from March through April 2026, for between $18 and $28.
