This recall involves Goal Zero’s YETI 3000X power stations. The silver and black portable power stations measure about 24.4 inches high, 18.5 inches wide and 22.3 inches deep, and weigh about 92 pounds. The power stations have yellow handles and a digital display at the front with electrical ports. They sit on a rolling cart with two built-in wheels and a telescoping handle. The Goal Zero logo is printed on the front bar of the cart and on a nameplate located on the underside of the station’s lid along with “YETI 3000X”.
Consumers should stop using the power stations immediately and install the free repair in the form of a firmware update available through the Goal Zero application or contact Goal Zero for firmware installation at no cost.
Goal Zero has received four reports of the power stations catching fire, overheating and smoking. No injuries have been reported.
