Recalled Evenflo Majestic™ Highchair Tag
Plastic caps and metal screws on both sides of the highchair can loosen and fall out, allowing the seatback to suddenly fall back or detach from the highchair. Children can fall backwards or fall out of the highchair and suffer bumps and bruises to the head, broken bones, abrasions, cuts and bruises. Detached hardware also poses a choking hazard to children.
About 90,000 (95,000 were recalled in December 2008)

The expanded recall involves Evenflo Majestic™ highchairs, model numbers: 3001395, 3001395A, 3001604, 3001700, 3001713, 3001713A, 3001730A, 3001732, 3001733, 3001742, 3001742A, 3001756, 3001821A, 3001840A, 3001845, 3001848, 3001852, 3001932, 3002719 and 3003845 manufactured between January 23, 2007, and December 31, 2008. The model number and date of manufacture are located on a white label/sticker on the seatback. "Evenflo" is printed on the label and on the front of the tray. Models showing a year of manufacture of 2009 in red ink are not included in the recall.
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled highchairs and contact Evenflo to receive a free repair kit.
For the models added by this expanded recall, Evenflo has received 16 reports of seatbacks reclining, falling back and/or detaching unexpectedly, resulting in five reports of bumps and bruises to the head and five reports of other injuries including bruises and abrasions. For the models added by this expanded recall, Evenflo has received 145 reports of plastic caps and screws falling out of the highchairs, including one incident in which a cap and/or screws were found in a child's hand or mouth but were removed before choking occurred.

The recalled nursing pillows advertised for infant feeding and tummy time violate the mandatory safety standards for nursing pillows and infant support cushions because they can obstruct an infant’s breathing, posing a serious risk of injury or death from suffocation.
The recalled baby loungers violate the mandatory safety standard for infant sleep products. The sides are too low to contain an infant and the enclosed openings at the foot of the loungers are wider than allowed, posing serious risks of fall and entrapment hazards to infants. The baby loungers violate the mandatory standard for Infant Sleep Products because the sides are shorter than the minimum side height limit to secure the infant; the sleeping pad’s thickness exceeds the maximum limit, posing a suffocation hazard; and an infant could fall out of an enclosed opening at the foot of the lounger or become entrapped. The portable loungers do not have a stand, posing a fall hazard. These violations create an unsafe sleeping environment for infants, posing a risk of serious injury or death.
The recalled car seat adapters can fail to properly attach to the stroller, which may allow the car seat to fall, posing a risk of serious injury from a fall hazard.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is charged with protecting the public from unreasonable risk of injury associated with the use of thousands of types of consumer products. Deaths, injuries, and property damage from consumer product-related incidents cost the nation more than $1 trillion annually. Since the CPSC was established more than 50 years ago, it has worked to ensure the safety of consumer products, which has contributed to a decline in injuries associated with these products.
Federal law prohibits any person from selling products subject to a Commission ordered recall or a voluntary recall undertaken in consultation with the CPSC.
