In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), InterfaceFLOR LLC, LaGrange, Ga., is voluntarily recalling about 24,000 Heartfelt Carpet Tiles. Pin-like needles can be embedded in the carpet tiles, posing a puncture wound hazard to consumers.

Manufacturer: InterfaceFLOR LLC, LaGrange, Ga.
Hazard: Pin-like needles can be embedded in the carpet tiles, posing a puncture wound hazard to consumers.
Incidents/Injuries: FLOR has received three reports from consumers who have received a puncture, scratch or a small cut from coming into contact with needles in the carpet tiles. None of the injuries required outside medical attention.
Description: The carpet tiles are made from a blend of wool and Kenaf, measure 20-inches by 20-inches and come in colors Corazon (beige), Herz (gray), and Coeur (light gray) The tiles have, "Made in USA" embossed on the bottom of each tile.
Sold on: FLOR's Web site, home décor boutiques, and in the firm's catalog nationwide from January 2006 through December 2006 for about $12 per tile.
Remedy: Consumers will receive a full refund when the tiles are returned, or free replacement tiles of an equal value. The company is directly notifying those consumers who purchased the affected tiles on-line or through their catalog.
