Recall Details
The product is a guard rail that attaches to the top level of a standing choral riser set with three tiered levels of horizontal platforms on which individuals stand. The recall includes Optional Guard Rails (model numbers GRU30, 36 and 48) installed on Standing Choral Risers (model numbers TRP3C and SRP3C). Risers without guard rails are not included in this recall.
Owners of the choral riser sets with optional guard rails have been contacted directly by the Midwest Folding Products, Inc. and provided with information about how to obtain a free repair kit. If an owner of a choral riser set with optional guard rail has not already been contacted by Midwest Folding Products, the owner should stop using the risers immediately and contact Midwest Folding Products at the number listed below.
Midwest Folding Products is aware of two incidents where a set of guard rail equipped risers tipped over. One incident caused a minor injury to one child.

The fan wheel on the recalled pressure washers can fail, causing abnormal burner operation that can produce smoke and/or bursts of flames during use, posing a fire hazard.
The recalled products can contain bacteria, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa, an environmental organism found widely in soil and water. People with weakened immune systems, external medical devices, or underlying lung conditions who are exposed to Pseudomonas aeruginosa face a risk of serious infection that may require medical treatment. The bacteria can enter the body if inhaled, through the eyes, or through a break in the skin. People with healthy immune systems are usually not affected by bacteria.
The steamers can leak or spit hot water, posing a risk of serious burn injury to users and bystanders. The water tank cap can also leak or detach during use, exposing users to hot water.
The chip breaker can contact the cutterhead blades during use, which can cause debris to be ejected from the planer, posing impact and laceration hazards to the user and bystanders.
The recalled bed rails violate the mandatory standard for adult portable bed rails because when the bed rails are attached to a bed, users can become entrapped within the bed rail or between the bed rail and the side of the mattress, posing a serious entrapment hazard and risk of death by asphyxiation. In addition, the bed rails do not bear the required hazard warning labels.
The recalled chainsaw’s chain brake may not activate, posing a laceration hazard.
