Description:

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Emerson Motor Co., St. Louis, MO, is voluntarily recalling about 5,877 3.7-Inch Stators. Under locked condition, they can become overheated and present a potential fire/shock hazard to consumers.

Manufacturer: Emerson Motor Co., 8100 W. Florissant Ave., St. Louis, MO 63136

Hazard: Under locked condition, it can become overheated and present a potential fire/shock hazard to consumers.

Incidents/Injuries: None reported.

Description: The stators were sold to Procon Products for the application in insecticide insertion pumps and water purification systems.

Sold at: Stators were sold to Procon Products between May 2002 and September 2004.

Manufactured in: Mexico

Remedy: Emerson Motor Company will repair or replace all non-conforming units at no cost to the consumers.
