WASHINGTON, D.C. - In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Walgreen Co., of Deerfield, Ill., is voluntarily recalling about 5,000 pumpkin tealight candleholders. The beads on the candleholders can ignite, posing a fire hazard.
Walgreens has received three reports of the beads on these tealight candleholders catching fire. No injuries have been reported. The "Colors of Autumn Beaded Pumpkin Tea Light Holders" are about 7 inches high and have amber-colored plastic beads covering a copper-colored metal frame. A black and copper-colored stem acts as a handle on the top of the product. The product was sold with a hang tag that contained the item number: 642146.
Walgreens stores nationwide sold the tealight candleholders from September 2003 to October 2003 for $9.99.
