Description:

PRODUCT: Candle Holders - ATICO International USA Inc., of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., is recalling about 530 candle holders. The candle holders are made of a hard plastic in the shape of a squirrel sitting on the edge of a leaf. The squirrel is holding a marshmallow on a metal stick over the glass cup. A tealight candle can be placed in the cup. The candle holder measures 4.5 inches high by 6.5 inches wide. A label on the bottom of the candle holder reads, "Distributed by Food Hold USA, Inc., Atlanta, Georgia." TOPS stores in New York, Pennsylvania and Ohio sold the candle holders during the month of September 2000 for about $5. 

PROBLEM: The plastic marshmallow can ignite when it is used with a burning candle, presenting a fire and burn hazard. 

INCIDENTS/INJURIES: ATICO International USA Inc. has received two reports of fires. No injuries have been reported. 

WHAT TO DO: Consumers should stop using the candle holders immediately and discard or destroy them.

Firm no longer in business. Recall remedy no longer available. Discard the product. Do not donate or resell.

ATICO International USA Inc. has received two reports of fires. No injuries have been reported.

TOPS stores in New York, Pennsylvania and Ohio sold the candle holders during the month of September 2000 for about $5.
