CPSC urges consumers to stop using the baby loungers immediately, remove the foam padding, and cut the cover in half, and dispose of the cover and padding. Do not sell or give away these hazardous products.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is warning consumers to stop using Aila+Aiden baby loungers immediately. The loungers violate the mandatory standard for Infant Sleep Products. The sides are too low to contain an infant and the enclosed openings at the foot of the loungers are wider than allowed, posing serious risks of fall and entrapment hazards to infants. In addition, the baby loungers do not have a stand, posing a fall hazard if used on elevated surfaces. These violations create an unsafe sleeping environment and can cause death or serious injury.

CPSC issued a Notice of Violation to the retailer, The Natlis Group LLC, doing business as Aila+Aiden, of New York. Aila+Aiden is unable to offer refunds to consumers because it is out of business.
Parents and caregivers are reminded:
- The best place for an infant to sleep is on a firm, flat surface in a crib, bassinet or play yard.
- Use a fitted sheet only and never add blankets, pillows, padded crib bumpers, or other items to an infant’s sleeping environment.
- Infants should always be placed to sleep on their back. Infants who fall asleep in an inclined or upright position should be moved to a safe sleep environment with a firm, flat surface such as a crib, bassinet or play yard.
The Aila+Aiden-branded baby loungers are made of a foam sleeping pad and padded bumpers with a cloth cover and a ribbon on one end. The loungers are white with pink stars and have a matching pillow. “Aila+Aiden,” “Baby Lounger” and “Model No: Nest1” are printed on a label stitched on the outside of the baby lounger’s cover. CPSC is aware the firm also sold the loungers in multiple other colors and prints.
