WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is warning consumers to immediately stop using 10-inch hybrid mattresses. The mattresses violate the flammability requirements of the mandatory standard for mattress sets, posing a deadly fire hazard.
CPSC issued a Notice of Violation to the seller, Foshan Shifanshi Furniture Co., Ltd., of China, doing business as ShiFanShi on Shein.com. ShiFanShi has not agreed to recall these mattresses or offer a remedy to consumers.
About 470 10-inch hybrid mattresses were sold on Shein.com from December 2024 through April 2025.
The mattresses were sold in sizes twin, full, queen and king and have a gray knit top panel and black and gray side panels. The size, material, and “This mattress is intended to be used without foundation or with foundation or foundation(s): WG /& P Foundation” are printed on stacked labels at the side seam of the mattresses.
CPSC urges consumers to stop using the mattresses immediately and dispose of them. Do not sell or give away these hazardous mattresses.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is charged with protecting the public from unreasonable risk of injury associated with the use of thousands of types of consumer products. Deaths, injuries, and property damage from consumer product-related incidents cost the nation more than $1 trillion annually. Since the CPSC was established more than 50 years ago, it has worked to ensure the safety of consumer products, which has contributed to a decline in injuries associated with these products.
Federal law prohibits any person from selling products subject to a Commission ordered recall or a voluntary recall undertaken in consultation with the CPSC.
