Recall Details
This recall involves ventilation fans in ClassMate cooling and air source heat pumps and SchoolMate water/ground source heat pumps that supply heating, cooling and high indoor air quality in classrooms and schools in the following models:

The brand name Airedale is located on a sticker on the front of the unit. The model name and serial number are found on the serial plate on the underside of the control unit.
Consumers should stop using the recalled heat pumps immediately and contact Modine Manufacturing Company for written instructions to unplug the recalled ventilation fan or to switch the internal disconnect in the fan to the “off” position. Consumers should contact their Modine distributor to arrange for their free inspection and service. Service technicians will inspect and repair or replace the recalled heating and cooling OA/EA ventilation fans in all units.
Modine has received 11 reports of incidents that resulted in fires, totaling at least $2.7 million in property damage. No injuries have been reported.
