Recall Details

Description:

This recall involves four desktop models of laser color printers: Magicolor 4750DN, Magicolor 3730DN, Bizhub C35 and Bizhub C35P. Model numbers are located on the plate attached to the side of the printer as well as the bottom of the front door. The printers are dark and light gray in color and have "Konica Minolta" printed on the top of the front door.

Remedy:

Consumers of Magicolor 3730DN and 4750DN should stop using the printers immediately and contact Konica Minolta to schedule a free replacement. Consumers of Bizhub C35 and C35P will be visited by an authorized service agent for repair and replacement of the faulty component.

Incidents/Injuries:

The firm is aware of two reports of the printers overheating. No injuries have been reported.

CPSC, Xerox International Partners Announce Retrofit of Network Laser Printers
Xerox International Partners, of Palo Alto, Calif., is voluntarily retrofitting about 17,000 network laser printers. These network laser printers were manufactured from January 1995 through September 1998 and sold nationwide through the commercial distributors listed below for prices ranging from $1599 to $6999. Model numbers are on the top of the unit and on a label located on the rear panel.
