CPSC and Gamo USA Announce Recall of BB Air Pistols
The BB air gun may discharge unexpectedly and could cause serious injury.
Gamo USA via United Parcel Service (UPS) - COD at the following address: Gamo USA, 3911 S.W. 47th Avenue, Suite 914, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33314. Gamo will replace the BB chamber housing with a new part that has been redesigned with a larger diameter opening. The pistol will then be returned to the consumer within two weeks with a free box of 500 BBs.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Gamo USA of Fort Lauderdale, Fl. is voluntarily recalling about 1,335 Pre-Compressed Air-Pistols, Model AF-10, designed to shoot BBs. The BB air gun may discharge unexpectedly and could cause serious injury.
Gamo received one report of the BB pistol discharging unexpectedly, resulting in minor injury.
Gamo Pre-Compressed Air-Pistol Model AF-10 is a compact air pistol. It is a 10-shot repeater which can also be used as a single shot air pistol. It measures 8.6 inches long and weighs 1.3 pounds. It has an adjustable rear sight, manual crossbolt trigger safety, rifled steel barrel and a molded checkered grip. The AF-10 is sold in a black plastic carrying case with an inset handle.
The air gun was sold nationwide from June, 1994 to April, 1997 for approximately $81.50 each, through authorized dealers, gun shops, and sporting goods dealers.
