Commissioner Robert Adler, Sarah Klein (Chief Counsel), and Jennifer Feinberg (Senior Counsel) will meet with members of the public health and consumer advocacy community to discuss the significant risk of injury or death associated with crib bumpers. Speakers will include Dr. Rachel Moon (Professor of Pediatrics and Division Head of General Pediatrics, University of Virginia School of Medicine); Ami Gadhia (Assistant Director of American Academy of Pediatrics, Dept. of Federal Affairs); Dr. N.J. Scheers (Analyst with BDS Data Analytics); Dr. Bradley Thach (Neonatologist with St. Louis Children's Hospital and Professor of Pediatrics at Washington University); Teri Covington (Director of the National Center for Fatality Review & Prevention); Dr. Joshua Sharfstein (Professor of the Practice with Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health); Dr. Andrea Gielen (Director of Johns Hopkins Center for Injury Research & Policy); and Nancy Cowles (Executive Director of Kids in Danger).
