CPSC Sets ""Spray Adhesive Information Line"", To Handle Calls From Concerned Physicians, Consumers

The Consumer Product Safety Commission today said it has established a special CPSC Spray Adhesive Information Line to handle calls from concerned consumers and physicians which have been triggered by the Commission's ban on certain aerosol spray adhesives.

Since its August 17, announcement alerting consumers to the possible hazards associated with use of aerosol spray adhesives, the Commission has been flooded with telephone calls from across the country. 

The CPSC's normal telephone service has been unable to handle the number of calls. In addition, Dr. J. Rodman Seely and other physicians' offices have experienced a similar increase in daily calls.



The Commission, therefore, has established a Consumer Product Safety Commission Spray Adhesive Information Line to handle these calls and to supply persons, especially physicians, with information relating to the possible hazards associated with exposure to aerosol spray adhesives.
