Purpose
To work with PHTA (formally APSP) and ASTM to develop the voluntary standards to strengthen safety provisions and to ensure that the voluntary standard maintains adequate safety levels addressing hazards associated with safety vacuum release systems for swimming pools, spas, wading pools, and hot tubs.
