Nestlé Waters North America Recalls AccuPure Water Dispensers Due to Fire and Burn Hazard (Recall Alert)

Description:
This recall involves Nestlé Waters North America AccuPure countertop water filtration dispensers. The water dispensers are black and measure about 17.5 inches tall and 12.8 inches wide. The units connect to the plumbing system, draw water from the system, filter the water and dispense hot and cold water through the unit. “AccuPure” is printed on the front and side panels. The model number is HCB215n and is printed on the back of the water dispensers.
Remedy:
Consumers should immediately unplug the water dispensers and stop using them. Nestlé Waters is contacting affected customers directly to schedule installation of a free replacement unit. Customers with questions should contact Nestlé Waters.
Incidents/Injuries:
Nestlé Waters has received seven reports of parts melting, smoking or burning. No injuries have been reported.
Sold At:
These units were sold and rented to businesses nationwide for consumer use from January 2013 to May 2016 as part of individual service contracts that Nestlé Waters has with these customers. A limited number of units were purchased by these customers for a list price of $599.99.The units are not sold or provided at retail.
