- CPSC offers online training for all employees who produce documents for the public and for any employees who would like to be trained in plain writing or more specialized writing.
- CPSC also schedules classroom workshops and training sessions for interested employees.
- In 2015, CPSC offered a live 1-day training course (8/6/15), titled, Fundamentals of Plain Writing. In addition, the agency offered a half-day course (12/8/15) titled, Writing Refresher, and another half-day course (12/8/15), titled, Punctuating with Precision.

- CPSC appointed Eileen J. Williams to be the designated official for plain writing.
- In addition to Ms. Williams, CPSC uses a multilevel managerial review process for approving documents disseminated to the public.
