George Borlase, Assistant Executive Director for Hazard Identification and Reduction, and other staff will meet with Greg Wischstadt and others of Generac Power Systems to discuss proprietary information related to Generac’s CO detection and shutoff system they are developing to address the carbon monoxide poisoning hazard associated with portable generators when used in enclosed spaces. The meeting will be held from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., at Generac’s facilities in and near Jefferson, WI. The meeting was requested by CPSC staff.
