Acting Chairman Buerkle and Staff Visiting Amazon

Acting Chairman Ann Marie Buerkle and staff will meet with representatives from Amazon and will tour Amazon facilities in Seattle, WA. CPSC Staff attending the meeting includes: Nancy Lowery, Chief of Staff, DeWane Ray, Deputy Executive Director, Safety Operations, George Borlase, Assistant Executive Director, Hazard Identification and Reduction, Steve Hanway, Associate Executive Director for the Directorate of Epidemiology, and Carol Cave, Deputy Director, Office of Compliance. The visit will include discussions related to Amazon’s product safety efforts, data, and technology and a tour of a fulfillment center. This meeting is closed to the public as confidential and proprietary business information will be discussed. It will take place from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. PST in Seattle, WA.
