Acting Chairman Ann Marie Buerkle and Shelby Mathis, Small Business Ombudsman, are meeting with members of the retail industry including Pier 1 Imports, HEB Grocery Co., JC Penney, and Hobby Lobby. The purpose of the meeting is for Acting Chairman Buerkle to share an overview of what has been going on at CPSC as well as to discuss issues of mutual interest including collaboration, retailer reporting, e-commerce, recall effectiveness, internet of things, and standards work.
