Han Lim, Directorate for Engineering Sciences, participating in a teleconference with members of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Z21.1 (Household Cooking Gas Appliances) and Z21.20 (Automatic Electrical Controls for Household and Similar Use) to discuss possible changes to applicable standards that may address issues involving electronic control panels on gas range ovens such as overheating electronic components, ovens turning on by themselves, and loss of temperature control.
