Macy's Commits to Stop Selling Water Beads and Destroying Remaining Inventory

On January 22nd 2024, I wrote a letter to department store retailer Macy’s urging it to halt its sale of water beads1. Macy’s confirmed with me in its response below that it will not only stop selling all water beads products: it will also destroy its remaining water bead inventory.  This is the most responsible, safety-oriented action a company can take.  I implore other retailers to follow the example set by Macy’s.
