Last night, the U.S. Senate confirmed Doug Dziak to serve as CPSC Commissioner.  I congratulate and welcome Commissioner Dziak. We once again have our full complement of five Commissioners.  

During his confirmation hearing, Commissioner Dziak spoke powerfully about drawing inspiration from his parents.  His mom who served as a nurse, and his dad who served as a union welder and a police officer.  It’s great to have another Commissioner who grew up in a union family.  And I respect Commissioner Dziak’s history of public service. 

I look forward to continuing our work together for the benefit of American consumers.
