Han Lim Participating in a Teleconferene with Members of the American National Standards Institute

Han Lim, Directorate for Engineering Sciences, participating in a teleconference with members of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Z21.1 (Household Cooking Gas Appliance) and Z21.20 (Automatic Electrical Controls for Household and Similar Use) to discuss possible changes to applicable standards that may address issues involving electronic control panels on gas range ovens such as overheating electronic components, ovens turning on by themselves, and loss of temperature control. This teleconference is a continuation of the May 10, 2016 teleconference, where a small work group was examining the standards involving electronic componentry; 11:00 am ET.
