CPSC, Southern Living At Home Announce Recall of Votive Candle Holders Included with Old Taylor Estate Candeliers

The following product safety recalls were conducted by firms in cooperation with the CPSC.

Name of Product: Glass votive candle holders included with Old Taylor Estate Candelier

Units: About 345,900 votive candle holders

Manufacturer: The glass votive candle holders were manufactured for Southern Living At HOME, of Birmingham, Alabama

Problem: These votive glass candle holders can break unexpectedly during use.

Incidents/Injuries: Southern Living at HOME has received 15 reports of glass votive candle holders breaking unexpectedly. There are no reported injuries or damage.

Description: This recall involves the Old Taylor Estate Candelier with item number 40697 (the item number is located on one side and the top of each box). The chandeliers have eight glass votive candle holders. Old Taylor Estate Candeliers purchased after September 2005 are not included in this recall.

Sold at: Southern Living At Home consultants sold these chandeliers including the glass votive candle holders at home parties nationwide from June 2005 through September 2005 for about $80.

Manufactured in: China

Remedy: Southern Living At Home will notify consumers who purchased the recalled glass votive candle holders directly and will ship free replacement glass votive candle holders.
