CPSC’s Work With Intergovernmental Organizations

AUGUST 16, 2013

CPSC engages actively and takes a leadership role in a number of multilateral consumer product safety organizations, including the Working Party on Consumer Product Safety of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), International Consumer Product Safety Caucus (ICPSC), and the International Consumer Product Health and Safety Organization (ICPHSO). CPSC emphasizes international cooperation in these organizations by promoting the exchange of public information, seeking ways to align policies and safety requirements at a high level of safety, and exploring new areas for international cooperation.

CPSC staff serve on the governing bodies for both ICPSC and ICPHSO and take active roles in planning and participating in the organizations’ events.
