CPSC Commissioner Newman Announces Staff Addition

Commissioner Constance B. Newman has announced the appointment of Melvin L. Doxie to her staff.

Immediately prior to joining her staff, Mr. Doxie served as the Special Assistant to the Executive Director of the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

He was also President of Urban Distributors, Inc. of Brooklyn, Now York, where he was responsible for the management of a company which warehoused, sold and distributed food products to 800 chain and independent retail markets. Prior to that, he was both Special Projects Officer for the National Business League and the Administrator of Operations for Pride Economic Enterprises, of Washington, D. C.

Mr. Doxie has attended both Howard and George Washington Universities.
