The following product safety recall was voluntarily conducted by the firm in cooperation with the CPSC. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.

Name of Product: Kawasaki Prairie™ 700 4x4 all-terrain vehicles (ATVs)

Units: About 1,140

Manufacturer/Importer: Kawasaki Motors Manufacturing Corp., USA of Lincoln, Neb.

Hazard: The age recommendation warning label is missing. Children under 16 years old riding these adult-size ATVs can suffer serious injury or death.

Incidents/Injuries: Kawasaki has not received any reports of incidents. No injuries have been reported.

Description: The recalled Kawasaki ATVs include the Prairie™ KVF700-D1 4x4 model, which were manufactured between June 2004 and February 2005. The ATVs come in green and red and have the words "Kawasaki" and "Prairie" printed on each side of the vehicle's fuel tank.

Sold At: Authorized Kawasaki dealers sold these ATVs from late 2004 through February 2005 for about $7,100

Manufactured in: United States.

Remedy: Consumers have been contacted directly and will receive a free sticker to adhere to their ATV immediately.
