CPSC and AQSIQ Panel Discussion
Many consider it to be the manufacturer’s responsibility to ensure product safety. Manufacturers are responsible, but product importers and retail outlets also have a responsibility to ensure that the products they handle comply with the applicable safety regulations and standards. Speakers from CPSC and AQSIQ will discuss what U.S. importers and retailers must do when providing specifications or ordering products from the manufacturer or exporter.
Private Sector Panel Discussion
Industry faces a growing public demand for increased assurances of safer consumer products, even in the absence of government standards. Speakers on the private sector panel will discuss what steps are being taken to increase product safety in the early stages of the supply chain through formal standards and compliance protocols.
