Huy Le, Douglas Lee, Jill Hurley, and other Office of Hazard Identification and Reduction staff will participate in a teleconference for voluntary standards activities relating to battery safety. Button/Coin cell ingestion safety and high energy density battery overheating hazards are of primary interest to CPSC staff. The meetings will take place on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at 9:30am – 3:15pm and Thursday, 1:30pm – 4:00pm. This meeting was requested by Masri, Khaled Program Manager, National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA). The meeting is open to the public.
