The following product safety recall was conducted voluntarily by the firm in cooperation with the CPSC. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.

Name of Product: Converter for Air 2 Alternate Inflation Regulator

Units: 3,300

Manufacturer: SCUBAPRO of El Cajon, CA

Hazard: An insufficient bond may cause a break in the converter coupling which could impact the diver's ability to control buoyancy.

Incidents/Injuries: One incident with no reports of injuries.

Description: This alert is only for consumers who dive with an Air 2 Alternate Inflation Regulator on a NON-SCUBAPRO buoyancy compensator. Divers who use the Air 2 on a SCUBAPRO buoyancy compensator are not affected by this alert.

Sold by: Authorized SCUBAPRO dealers nationwide from October 8, 2003 through August 30, 2004 for approximately $7.75 or included in the Air 2 package beginning December 19, 2003 through August 30, 2004.

Manufactured in: Taiwan

Remedy: Consumers who dive with an Air 2 Alternate Inflation Regulator on a NON-SCUBAPRO buoyancy compensator should immediately stop use and contact SCUBAPRO. They will be instructed to take their buoyancy compensator with the Air 2 intact to their authorized SCUBAPRO dealers for a free replacement.
