The following product safety recall was voluntarily conducted by the firm in cooperation with the CPSC. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.

Name of Product: Comfortplus Under Area Rug Warmers

Units: About 200

Retailer: WarmlyYours, of Long Grove, Ill.

Hazard: The rug warmer's cord can come loose from the plug and cause sparks or flames, posing a fire hazard to consumers.

Incidents/Injuries: WarmlyYours has received two reports of incidents involving the rug warmer. One involved electrical sparks coming from the cord when it was pulled out. In the other incident, the cord caught fire and left burn marks on the area rug and floor. No injuries have been reported.

Description: The rug warmers are cream-colored with a non-slip pad, a tan nylon edging and a black electrical cord. They were sold in three sizes, small 3 ? ft. x 4 ? ft., medium 4 ? ft. x 7 ? ft., and large 7 ? ft. x 9 ? ft. Model numbers UAH-3646-120, UAH-4979-120, and UAH-7999-120 are printed on a label located on the underside of the rug warmer.

Sold by: WarmlyYours retail stores, and flooring stores nationwide, Warmly Yours.com, www.heatedcarpetsnthings.com, www.builderdepot.com, www.kitchensource.com, www.atrendyhome.com, and www.zearth.com for between $200 and $600.

Manufactured in: China and Canada

Remedy: Consumers should stop using the rug warmers immediately, unplug it, and return the cord to WarmlyYours using the pre-paid shipping labels that the firm will provide for a full refund or a replacement product. WarmlyYours is directly contacting purchasers of the warming rugs.
