George Borlase, Assistant Executive Director for Hazard Identification and Reduction, and other staff will meet with Marv Klowak and others of Briggs and Stratton Corporation to discuss proprietary information related to Briggs and Stratton’s CO detection and shutoff system they are developing to address the carbon monoxide poisoning hazard associated with portable generators when used in enclosed spaces. The meeting will be held from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., Briggs and Stratton’s facility in Wauwatosa, WI. The meeting was requested by CPSC staff.
