Decision
The Commission voted unanimously (3-0) to approve publication of the notice in the FederalRegister, with changes, announcing a forum on vented gas heating appliance carbon monoxidesensors on June 3, 2014 at the CPSC’s National Product Testing and Evaluation Center, 5Research Place, Rockville, MD. The notice also requests information on the availability ofsensor technology that can operate in a vented gas heating appliance and would shut down anappliance that generates unsafe levels of carbon monoxide.
The approved changes:
Amendment to FR Notice: Carbon Monoxide/Combustion Sensor Forum and Request for Information
p. 19, line 13, strike the words "Few People Register" and replace with the words ''No One Registers"
p. 19, line 14, strike the phrase "If fewer than 5 panelists or fewer than 25 individuals register for the forum, we may'' and replace with the phrase "If no one registers for theworkshop, we will"
