Decision
The Commission previously published a direct final rule ("DFR") and notice of proposedrulemaking ("NPR") in the Federal Register clarifying when component part testing can be usedand clarifying which textile products have been determined not to exceed the allowable leadcontent limits. The Commission voted unanimously (5-0) to approve publication in the FederalRegister of: (1) for the NPR, a notice extending the comment period until December 14, 2015;and (2) for the DFR, a notice extending the comment period until December 14, 2015 and theeffective date ofthe DFR until January 13, 2016.
