Hazard:

The tent’s stove jack ring can deteriorate when exposed to high temperatures from contact with a stove pipe and create smoke inside the tent, posing a risk of injury from smoke inhalation.  

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately stop using a wood stove inside the tents and contact Westfield Outdoor for a free replacement stove jack ring. Consumers can remove the old stove jack ring from the tent and install the replacement ring by following the instructions provided with the replacement ring. Westfield Outdoor is contacting all known purchasers directly.

Hazard:

The cockpit rear panel between the seats and the cargo bed can overheat and melt the plastic, posing a fire hazard.

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled UTVs and bring the vehicles to an authorized Segway Powersports dealer for a free repair, which includes installation of larger and additional heat shields.  The firm has contacted all known purchasers.

Hazard:

The wheel hubs were not manufactured to specifications and can fail, causing the tractor to lose braking and propulsion, posing crash and injury hazards.

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled lawn tractors and contact an authorized John Deere dealer for a free repair. John Deere is contacting all known purchasers directly.

Hazard:

The recalled chests are unstable if they are not anchored to the wall, posing tip-over and entrapment hazards that can result in death or serious injuries to consumers.

 

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately stop using recalled chests if they are not properly anchored to the wall and place them in an area that children cannot access. Contact Samson for a full refund or a free tip-over restraint kit. Samson will provide pre-paid shipping labels so that consumers can remove the chest’s drawer slides and return them to Samson for a full refund. Samson will also provide free in-home installation of the tip-over restraint kit upon request. Consumers can also return the item to any Costco Warehouse for a full refund.

Hazard:

The pom poms on the book can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children.

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately take the book away from young children and cut the pom poms off the book. Consumers can participate in the recall and receive a $10 gift card by registering online at www.recallrtr.com/slt, submitting a picture of the book and removed pom poms, and affirming that the removed pom poms will be disposed of in the trash. Consumers can use the book after removing and disposing of the pom poms.

Hazard:

The blocked vent temperature switch (BVTS) can malfunction, which can cause the release of gases, including carbon monoxide (CO), into consumers’ homes, posing a risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. 

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately contact Laars Heating Systems Company to arrange to have a certified technician install repairs at no cost to the consumer. Consumers who continue use of the boiler while awaiting repair should have working carbon monoxide alarms on every level of the home and outside of sleeping areas. The firm is contacting all known purchasers.

Hazard:

The vehicles are missing the “Maximum Loading Limit” label which can cause loads and tongue weights that are too heavy for the vehicle’s trailer towing and hitch, posing a crash and injury hazards due to the excessive weight.

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled ATVs and contact Yamaha to receive a trailer towing and hitch weight label. Yamaha is mailing the label with application instructions directly to consumers. Consumer can also contact an authorized Yamaha ATV dealer to schedule free label application. Yamaha is contacting all registered owners directly.

The children’s pajamas fail to meet the flammability standards for children’s sleepwear, posing a risk of burn injuries to children. 

 

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately take the recalled sleepwear away from children and contact Kids Tales for a full refund. Consumers who purchased the pajamas will be asked to destroy the garments by cutting them in half and send the recalling firm a photo of the destroyed garment. Upon receipt of the photo, consumers will be issued a full refund of the purchase price.

Improper insertion of the pins provided for assembly can cause the chair’s legs to collapse, posing an injury hazard to the user.

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled chairs until they have reviewed the new instructions and the pins are properly inserted into the chair’s legs per the instructions.
