The dietary supplement blister packaging is not child resistant, as required by federal law. If ingested by a child, these supplements could cause serious injury or death.

Remedy:

Consumers should keep these products out of the reach of children and contact GNC for instructions on how to obtain a refund. Consumers can return the unused product to their local GNC store for a refund.

The jackets have drawstrings in the hood and at the bottom, which pose an entrapment hazard to children.

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately remove the drawstrings from the hood and the bottom of the recalled jackets to eliminate the hazard and contact Richie House for instructions to receive a full refund.

First Aid Research Recalls Maximum Strength Bacitraycin Plus Ointment With Lidocaine Due to Failure to Meet Child Resistant Closure Requirement

The packaging is not child resistant as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act. The pain relieving ointment contains lidocaine, posing a risk of poisoning to young children if they put it on their skin or ingest it.

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately place the recalled ointment out of the reach of children and contact United Exchange, the product’s importer, for instructions on how to receive a full refund from the place of purchase.

Ameriwood Home Recalls Chests of Drawers Due to Tip-Over and Entrapment Hazards

The recalled chests of drawers are unstable if they are not anchored to the wall, posing serious tip-over and entrapment hazards that can result in death or injuries to children. The chests do not comply with the performance requirements of the U.S. voluntary industry standard (ASTM F2057-14).     

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately stop using any recalled chest that is not properly anchored to the wall and place it into an area that children cannot access. Contact Ameriwood for a free repair kit that includes a wall anchoring device and feet for the unit. Consumers who require additional installation guidance should contact Ameriwood for further assistance.

The recalled chests are unstable if they are not anchored to the wall, posing serious tip-over and entrapment hazards that can result in death or injuries to children. The chests do not comply with the performance requirements of the U.S. voluntary industry standard (ASTM F2057-14).

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately stop using any recalled chest that is not properly anchored to the wall and place it into an area that children cannot access. Contact Homestar for a choice between two remedy options: a full refund including return shipping charges or a free tip-over restraint kit with virtual how-to instructions. Consumers who purchased the recalled chests are being contacted directly.

South Shore Expands Recall of Chest of Drawers Due to Serious Tip-Over and Entrapment Hazards

The recalled chests are unstable if they are not anchored to the wall, posing serious tip-over and entrapment hazards that can result in death or injuries to children. The chests do not comply with the performance requirements of the U.S. voluntary industry standard (ASTM F2057-14).          

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately stop using any recalled chest that is not properly anchored to the wall and place it into an area that children cannot access. Contact South Shore for a full refund or a free tip-over restraint kit. Consumers who are unable or unwilling to install the tip restraint kit should contact South Shore for a free one-time in-home installation of the kit.

Consumers should immediately stop using any recalled chests that are not properly anchored to the wall and place them into an area that children cannot access. Contact Vanguard Furniture for a free, in-home installation of a repair to prevent the risk of a tip-over. Vanguard Furniture is contacting all known purchasers directly.

Consumers should immediately stop using any recalled chest that is not properly anchored to the wall and place it into an area that children cannot access. Contact South Shore for a choice between two options: full refund with free pick up of the chest, or a free tip-over restraint kit with a one-time in-home installation of the kit. South Shore is contacting consumers who purchased the recalled chests directly.
