Weeplay Kids Recalls Infant Bodysuits Due to Choking Hazard
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Weeplay Kids LLC, of New York, N.Y., is voluntarily recalling about 128,000 Carter's Watch the Wear Bodysuits and Sleep 'n Play Garments. The snaps can detach from the fabric of the garment, posing a choking hazard to infants and young children.
Remedy:

Consumers should immediately discontinue use of garments and contact Weeplay to receive free replacement garments.

Snow Bikes Recalled by Tech 4 Kids Due to Fall Hazard
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Tech 4 Kids Inc., of Canada, is voluntarily recalling about 2,100 OUTER EDGE snow bikes. The front ski can crack or break, causing the snow bike to stop suddenly and posing a fall hazard to consumers.
Remedy:

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled snow bikes and return them to the store where purchased for a full refund.

CPSC, GapKids Announce Voluntary Recall of Kids' Anoraks
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Gap Kids of San Francisco, Calif., is voluntarily recalling about 127,800 GapKids spring/summer anoraks, a pull-over hooded nylon windbreaker. The anoraks have paint on the zipper pull that contains an unacceptable level of lead. While exposure to the defective zippers presents no immediate health danger, exposure to high levels of lead over an extended period of time presents a potential poisoning hazard to young children if ingested.

Mattel and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission Announce Voluntary Refund Program for Cabbage Patch Kids & Snacktime Kids Dolls
In response to concerns related to its Cabbage Patch Kids® Snacktime Kids dolls, Mattel, Inc., with the cooperation of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), voluntarily announced today a refund program for all dolls purchased since the toy's introduction in the fall of 1996. Mattel will offer consumers a full cash refund of $40. At the same time, the company announced a withdrawal of the product from all retail shelves across the U.S., and will discontinue the distribution of the Snacktime Kids dolls.
