Important: CPSC Recall Remedy Notice Due to COVID-19

Due to the extraordinary circumstances surrounding COVID-19, some of the remedies identified in recall press releases may not be available at this time. Consumers should check with recalling firms for further details.

It is important to remember that CPSC and recalling firms urge consumers not to use recalled products.

Hazard:

The recalled dressers are unstable if not anchored to the wall, posing tip-over and entrapment hazards that may result in death or serious injuries to children.  The dressers do not comply with the performance requirements of the U.S. voluntary industry standard (ASTM 2057-17).  

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled dressers if not properly anchored to the wall and place it into an area that children cannot access.  Consumers should contact Joybird for a free in-home repair to the dresser’s legs or a free one-time in-home installation of a tip-over restraint kit by a technician plus a $50 gift card to be used on Joybird’s website, or free pick-up of the dresser for a full refund.  Joybird is contacting all known purchasers directly.

The screws used to attach the spinning flowers to the sides of the toy can become loose and fall off, posing a choking hazard for young children.

Remedy:

Remedy:

The pedal body can separate from the pedal spindle resulting in a loss of balance, posing fall and injury hazards for the rider.

Remedy:

The bicycle’s front fork can loosen and detach, posing fall and injury risks to the rider.

Remedy:

Hazard:

The products contains the substance methyl salicylate which must be in child resistant packaging as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act (PPPA).  The packaging of the products is not child resistant, posing a risk of poisoning if the contents are swallowed by young children.

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately store the product in a safe location out of reach of children and contact Plant Therapy for a free replacement child-resistant cap.  All known purchasers are being notified directly by the firm about the recall.

The plastic brackets on the car seat adapter can break, posing a fall hazard to infants.

Remedy:

Hazard:

The vaporizers can overheat, and the vaporized materials can pose a burn risk if spilled or cause a fire if they fall onto a combustible surface.  The Deluxe model vaporizer also poses an electrical shock hazard if a consumer touches a small copper piece at the base of the vaporizer while in use.

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled vaporizers and return them to the place of purchase for a full refund in the form of store credit.
