WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announces the following recall in voluntary cooperation with the firm below. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.

Name of product: Fabric Lanterns

Units: 64,000

Distributor: Wal-Mart Stores Inc., of Bentonville, Ark.

Hazard: The fabric is not flame retardant and can be ignited by the lantern's votive candle, posing a fire hazard.

Incidents/Injuries: None reported.

Description: The cylinder-shaped lanterns are 7 1/2-inches high and 6- inches wide. Beige fabric with red and green floral designs covers the lanterns.

Sold at: Wal-Mart stores nationwide sold the lanterns from December 2002 through March 2003 for about $7

Manufactured in: China

Remedy: Return the lanterns to any Wal-Mart store to receive a refund.
