The snaps can break or detach from the suits, posing choking and laceration hazards to children.

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately take the recalled one-piece Rashguard swimsuits away from children and return them to any Target Store for a full refund.  Consumers that purchased the one-piece Rashguard swimsuit on Target.com can contact Target to receive a prepaid return label to return the swimsuit.

The candle holders can catch on fire if they come in contact with the candle’s flame, posing a fire hazard. 

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled candle holders and return them to any Urban Outfitters store for a full refund.  Customers can also contact Urban Outfitters to receive a prepaid return label to return the candle holders by mail.  Urban Outfitters is contacting online purchasers by email; in-store purchasers should contact Urban Outfitters.

King of Fans Recalls Hampton Bay Mara Ceiling Fans Due to Injury Hazard; Sold Exclusively at Home Depot

The blades can detach from the fan while in use, posing an injury hazard to consumers. 

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately stop using the ceiling fans and inspect the ceiling fans using the instructions at www.kingoffans.com/MaraRecall.htm or by visiting the QR code listed in the recall press release.  If consumers observe blade movement or uneven gaps between the blades and fan body or movement of the clip during inspection, consumers should immediately contact King of Fans for a free replacement ceiling fan.

GSK Consumer Health Recalls Five Excedrin Brands Due to Failure to Meet Child Resistant Packaging Requirement; Risk of Poisoning

Some of the bottles containing the over-the-counter drug can have a hole in the bottom.  If there is a hole, children could access and swallow the contents, posing a risk of poisoning.  These products contain the substances aspirin and acetaminophen which must be in child resistant packaging as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act (PPPA).

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately store the recalled Excedrin bottles out of sight and reach of children and inspect the bottom of the bottle to determine if there is a hole.  If there is a hole in the bottle, contact GSK Consumer Relations for information on how to receive a prepaid shipping label for return to receive a full refund.  Bottles without a hole can be retained and used as directed.

A rear wheel can separate from the vehicle and cause a loss of control, posing a crash hazard to consumers.

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled vehicles and contact a BRP Can-Am ATV dealer for a free repair.  BRP is contacting all known purchasers directly.

Otis Elevator Company Recalls to Inspect Private Residence Elevators Due to Entrapment Hazard; Risk of Serious Injury or Death to Young Children

Children can become entrapped in the space between the exterior landing (hoistway) door and the interior elevator car door or gate, and suffer serious injuries or death when the elevator is called to another floor.

Remedy:

Consumers should disable or block children’s access to any Otis or CemcoLift private residence elevator and contact Otis to schedule a free inspection and the installation of space guard(s), if necessary.

Infant fatalities have been reported with other manufacturers’ inclined sleep products, after infants rolled from their back to their stomach or side while unrestrained, or under other circumstances.

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled inclined sleeper accessory and contact Graco for a refund for the accessory.  Consumers can continue to use the playard portion of the product and other accessories included with the playard.
